I bartended in the San Francisco Bay Area for a dozen years and fell in love with rum at first sip. Rum can evoke feelings of travel and adventure, afterimages of bucolic beaches and sweating glasses of colorful cocktails, and the thirst to explore its origins and lands, to taste the nuance of volcanoes and unending tropical rain.
